Five large glass boxes, once used as rest stations for the 2014 Youth Olympic athletes, are now filled with the stories of Zhu Yingchun’s books at this solo exhibition held in the 24 Hours Art Museum in Nanjing.

Each book is reworked into a visual display that can be viewed around the clock. There are sculptures of the eccentric Cacaform Birds, large paintings from the esteemed ‘bug artists’ and conceptual poetry layered on glass. Zhu Yingchun’s latest book Bug’s Poetry, which has only just left the printing house, was put on display for the first time, with local school children enthusiastically translating each poem at the exhibition opening.

The exhibition was curated by Lin Shuchuan 林书传.
