jiangsu museum of art, Nanjing

28.8.2020 – 11.10.2020

This group exhibition held at Jiangsu Museum of Art showcases the best graphic design from Jiangsu province, including exceptional book and poster designs from individuals at the forefront of their field. Of the 23 participating designers, each has gained international recognition through awards such as the D&AD award in the UK, New York’s ADC award, the Red Dot award in Germany, The World’s Most Beautiful Book Award in Leipzig and more.

The title of the exhibition ‘Jixu’, which translates as ‘design narration’, is a homophone for ‘continue’. As the first contemporary design exhibition to be held at the Jiangsu Museum of Art, it is a fitting metaphor for both the Museum’s endeavour to exhibit more contemporary design as part of the 8@JAM project, as well as recognition of the many talented designers emerging from Jiangsu province in recent years who have gained success on an international level.

Several of Zhu Yingchun’s books are on display at the exhibition alongside the works of Zhao Qing, Pan Yanrong, Li Dawei and Jiang Jie to name a few.

The exhibition was co-organised by the Nanjing Graphic Designers Alliance and curated by Zhao Jingwen 赵敬文.
